I just found out that my local Kmart doubles coupons everyday now.  You must have a Shop Your Way Rewards card.

A few things to note:

1.  You can only double up to 5 coupons per day.

2.  Coupons up to $1.00 can be doubled.

Aunt Jemima Coupon on Facebook is Working!

Thank you Hip2Save for the heads up on the Aunt Jemima coupon working again!  I’ve tried that coupon for a year it seems.  I was a little disappointed to see it was for one $1.00/2 coupon, but nonetheless it’s printed…FINALLY!  So here it is:  $1.00/2 Aunt Jemima Frozen Pancake, Waffle or French Toast items Exp.5/20/12

An Extra Dollar General Deal Good till 4/21/12 (Dove and Degree)

Exterior rendition of a Dollar General location

I just came across the coupon for $5.00 when you make a purchase of $25.00 or more (pre-tax) at a Dollar General Location on Saturday, 4/21/12 (ONLY).  While there I realized there were also Dollar General coupons for Dove and Degree.  I checked the weekly ad to find that Dove and Degree are also on sale.  There was recently a $2.00/1 any ONE Dove Shampoo, Conditioner, or Styling product offered via a game on Walmart’s website.  Which when put with the Dollar General coupon and sale makes for a decent deal.  If you don’t have that coupon because you used it, there is also a $1.00/1 coupon to be found at  As well as $1.00/1 Dove Hair Care Product in 3/25/12 RP Expiring on 4/22/12.  In combination with the $5.00/$25.00 the deals get a little sweeter.  I’m planning a trip to Dollar General tomorrow!

So a deal would look a little like this:

Dove Shampoo or Conditioner Daily Moisturizing or Intense Damage 12-16oz, or Deep Moisture Body Wash 12oz. $3.50

Use (2) $2.00/1 any ONE Dove Shampoo, Conditioner, or Styling product (MAXIMUM OF TWO IDENTICAL COUPONS in same shopping trip) Exp. 4/22/12

Or Use (2) $1.00/1 any ONE Dove Shampoo, Conditioner, or Styling Product (MAXIMUM OF TWO IDENTICAL COUPONS in same shopping trip) Exp. 6/1/12

Or Use (2) $1.00/1 Dove Hair Care Product in 3/25/12 RP Exp. on 4/22/12

AND Use $1.00/2 any Two Dove products Dollar General Coupon Exp. 5/31/12

Final as low as $1.00 each WYB2

The Degree deal isn’t super, but it’s not bad either.  I believe the Degree Men Adrenaline Series is somewhat new.

It would look like this:

Degree Men Adrenaline Series 2.6-2.7oz. $3.50

Use (2) $1.00/1 Degree Men Adrenaline Series 3/25/12 RP (MAXIMUM OF 2 IDENTICAL COUPONS in same shopping trip) Exp. 4/22/12  *You may have received $.50/1 or $.50/2 in your paper.

AND Use $1.50/2 Degree Men’s or Women’s Deodorant 2.6oz or larger Dollar General Coupon Exp. 5/31/12

Final as low as $1.75 each WYB2

**Coupons listed above exclude trial and travel sizes.

Making a Simple Change to My Coupon Binder

My current filing system.

Currently, I file coupons in my binder by insert date.  Check out my post 10 Adjustments That Made Couponing Work for Me for an in-depth description.  It works well for me.  Used in conjuncture with a few coupon databases bookmarked on my phone I can coupon on the fly.  Until…I can’t get the internet to come up while in the store.  Talk about raining on my parade.  I’m sure I’m not the only one this has happened to.

So, I started to brainstorm.  Then one morning as I’m previewing the upcoming Sunday coupons, it dawned on me.  What if I had a list of each week’s coupons printed out and placed with those coupons.  A quick copy and paste of the Sunday preview and that week’s coupons will be at my disposal with the flip of a page.  It would only add a few minutes initially, but save time and money when my phone’s internet fails me.  Therefore, starting this Sunday, I’m going to give it a try.  I don’t know why I didn’t think of it sooner.  If you try it too, let me know what you’re thoughts on it are.

Happy Couponing!!!

This works and doesn’t.  The reason it doesn’t work so well, is that I found that we got an extra Smartsource insert this Sunday.  This insert isn’t listed on which could be a problem.  I’m wondering if I can find someone local with full lists of coupons from my area.  If not, then I suppose one would have to create their own list.  That doesn’t save much time though, so I’m crossing my fingers that I can find someone close that has the list of this week’s coupons ready to print.  Till later my friends.

Happy Couponing!!!

Couponing in Northwest Indiana/Chicagoland

Thanks Mashup Mom!

I wanted to write a quick post about a great website that tailors to my area.  Based out of Villa Park Illinois, Mashup Mom has great information not only for Northwest Indiana, but Chicagoland as well.  Finally, a place that I can call home.

When reading about Rachel, the creator, you learn that she’s a former librarian.  It shows.  Her site is easy to navigate and thorough.  Complete with match-ups, informative posts, online deals, and much more.

A super feature is Crunchy Friday which rounds up the week’s best organic, natural, green, and gluten and other allergen free deals.  Including a list of links to coupons on these items.  This is something that I rarely see in conjunction with couponing.

One of the highlights is a printable list for each store.  What’s so spiffy about these lists?  You can customize it quite a bit.  Who doesn’t want to save ink!  Just look for this button at the bottom of the post you’d like to print.  Print Friendly

A few of the stores I had been wanting to find match-ups for were:  Jewel-Osco, Strack & Van Til, Ultra (Town & Country), and Meijer.  They can all be found there and many more.  So, check this site out if you live in these areas.

Happy Couponing!
